I can’t believe that it’s been six months since I posted last. I’m so terribly sorry. I didn’t intend to fall off the earth, but I guess sometimes it happens. I just wanted to pop in and say that I’m working. On Biloxi Blue, on non-fiction, and on the upcoming conference season. I’ll be at Killer Nashville this year. If you’re there, let’s connect!
I’m also going to be signing books at Pages in the Caves in Kentucky in September.
And Biloxi Blue is still under construction.
I’ve had some setbacks, but finally the story is coming together in a way that I believe reaers will love. That’s been a lot of the delay with the book. I just didn’t feel that it was the best book I could write. I’m also struggling a little with all of the discord between law enforcement and citizens at this time. I’ve toyed with the idea of holding the book until things calm down. I’m still not completely decided on the issue, but I’m going to finish the book and make the call when it’s done. If you have an opinion, please share it in the comments below. I’d love to know what your thoughts are about an author’s social responsibility with their books and other writing.
I really wanted to have the book finished this spring. I was disappointed when it didn’t come together. And I HATE disappointing my readers. I do believe you would have been far more disappointed with the book as it was in the spring. It just wasn’t…great. Now, it’s great! The story is complex and fast paced. I hope you’ll love what I’ve done.
I’ll try to be better about putting up posts. Again, I’m sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. Thanks for your patience as I write, work, and handle daily life. Love and hugs to all of you!
